Want to give the sport a go? With the aid of Mick, our qualified instructor we can give you a taster or instructional lesson which could blow your socks off!

Air Born Kites was established in 1991, so we have years of experience in all areas of the sport. From kite jumping, kite buggying, kite mountain boarding and some of us also kitesurf. All our staff are competant kite flyers and our instructor Mick has been instructing for years. image of Jumping

Normally beginners/novices within the hour will get a good fly on a kite - normally of their choice - and learn enough to go out and try new things with increased confidence.

As with most activities of potential danger, a small amount of knowledge and practical experience must be gained to progress safely. That's why we do thing in various levels/steps and it is up to you to take your knowledge as far as you want with us.

For experienced kiters: even better! The basics can be skipped and we can have you doing some things that will definitely make you smile! We can have you trying out new areas of the sport or learn/improve new methods to push the limits.

Whatever your skill level, our guidance can get you testing out kites you have never flown before, flying in more extreme conditions and most importantly minimising the risk of personal injury to yourself and others. Learning to fly or do certain tricks with us safely allows you to experience the excitement but not the pain! image of Surfing

All this is happening in East Sussex and Kent. At a reasonable site with wind direction considered. However we are always open to suggestions as to where tuition can take place. Please e mail all enquiries to lessons@airbornkites.co.uk which we are currently dealing with and will book you up asap.

Air Born Kites will supply all kites, kite buggies and landboards for all lessons (although you are welcome to use your own equipment if you wish - we will need to check it over). We will also supply crash helmets where required. For kitesurfing lessons you will currently need to provide your own equipment. Any minimum lesson time is always 2 hours.

Current lesson prices are as follows:

GROUPS:

Powerkite lesson �25.00/ hour per person (4 people maximum)

Kitebuggy lesson �30.00/hour per person (2 People maximum)

Landboard lesson �30.00/person per hour (2 people maximum)

PERSONAL TUITION:

Powerkite lesson �60.00 per 2 hour lesson (�30.00 per extra hour)

Kitebuggy lesson �75.00 per 2 hour lesson (�37.50 per extra hour)

Landboard lesson �75.00 per 2 hour lesson (�37.50 per extra hour)

We can also make gift vouchers available for land based lesson as an excellent gift and offer quotes on larger/corporate events.
