However, it is also capable of the most extreme tricks, again behaving with a high degree of accuracy and predictability, making tricks easier to nail, and more relaibly repeatable. The feeling is sharp and crisp but not harsh. The Deep Space also boasts a number of technical advances in the sport kite design. The roll bars provide an excellent way of catching and securing the flying lines in wrap and multi wrap tricks. If you already have something like the Box of Tricks then this Gemini would be perfect for the aspiring professional, featuring a unique double spine to aid the precision of this full on trick kite that is incredibly good in the fade position. The Gemini is a product of the ongoing collaboration between Tim Benson and top UK trick Flier, Andy Wardley. It is an unusual looking kite with radical flight characteristics. The name Gemini, the twins, was given to reflect the fact that the kite has twin spines, and it is this layout which makes the kite look so unusual. The kite has twin stand-offs on each wing which create a flat channel running from the trailing edge to the nose. A fifth stand-off is placed in the centre between the two spines, which gives the sail its 'W' shape. If you are serious about trick kite flying and want to back spin, this is the kite you need. For indoor flying, the Inner Space has excellent drive characteristics and flies smoothly and responsively indoors with a minimum of effort on the part of the flyer. Specifically designed for indoor flight, the Inner Space will only fly below 6-7 mph, otherwise spars will snap. What struck us most about this kites was that the balance is almost perfect and allows for sustained floating of the kite, both in overhead manoeuvres and more conventional flat spin type moves. Precision is reasonable, but not great as this is a freestyle kite with good trick ability, positive response and easy recovery.
