Ground Stakes

A ground stake is used for securing your kite to the ground. Your kite will need to be set up ready to fly & the stake put through the wrist straps loops/ handles to stop your kite flying away. The kite will need lying back 45 degrees or so. With a stake in the ground most multi-line kites will simply sit still no matter how windy it is and then be ready to take off when you pick up the straps/handles. This is very handy for all kites with 2 or more lines when landed that can stay safely tethered. Also when you are setting up your kite using a stake gives tension to the lines whilst unwinding them and stops the kite taking off while you dash back to your handles/straps.

It's important that you are always aware of your kite no matter how securely pegged!
